Greetings WCR members and sponsors:

  I am super excited for our 2012 year as your President for the Greater Providence/ Northern RI Women's Council of Realtors® Board. This    year we are sharing some of our continuing education with our friends from the Newport Chapter. This gives us all a great opportunity to network and potentially refer some business to other great Realtors® in our organization. This year I have some big shoes to fill!! 

Last year, Melissa Perrille, who started our Chapter, has been the moving force behind our success. She went out on a limb holding fundraising events, one of which that raised over $8000!!!!! Giving us the opportunity to make a difference in the community due to Melissa's hard work and great leadership, as well as her amazing crew of committee members who were able to make it all happen.

This year, Melissa has been promoted to our Governor and I look forward to drawing upon her insights as I lead you into 2012. My success this year will be based on the help of my Governing Board and Committee Chairs so I am thanking you in advance and look forward to a special year. Without my board, this chapter would not succeed. I urge all of our members to become part of the board and volunteer your time to make a difference in the community........as well as the lives of the people in our community that we touch. 

I would like to meet each and every one of our members and sponsors personally. I will reach out to you and schedule a lunch/coffee so we can get to know each other better. The bottom line is we are all in this together....and together we can make a difference. I would love to hear your suggestions on how we can empower each other and make our chapter the best it can be.

For all of the members that know me personally, you know that animals are the love of my life. This year I would like to have a fundraiser to assist in adopting and raising money for animal shelters. If you know anyone that can potentially help us, please submit your name for a committee and help save an animals life. I can't do this alone, and will need the help from our members. 

This year we also plan on doing "Bras For a Cause". Last year, Women's Council was able to donate $8000 to the Gemma Foundation due to this amazing event. I would like to follow in Melissa's footsteps and make this event even bigger and better!!!!! In order to do this, we need committee members and volunteers. Please reach out to me if you have any contacts that will potentially make this event another success.

In closing: Thank you to my board: Lynn Forlini, Kerri Gemma, Sandra Ramirez and Ann Palmiscano. These amazing women make this chapter run smoothly. I urge each and everyone of you to come forward and sit on the board. Its an amazing opportunity to get involved and meet other people with the same goals.
